When you initially log in to the ExtremeCloud IQ GUI, you are prompted to select which product you want to use. If you select ExtremeCloud IQ Connect or the 30-day trial, then no license is necessary and you can begin using the product.

If you select ExtremeCloud IQ, then ExtremeCloud IQ redirects you to the Extreme Portal and prompts you for your credentials. Enter your Extreme Portal credentials. If you do not have an Extreme Portal account, you must register for one before you continue.

  • If you are partner, distributor, or reseller and are setting up an ExtremeCloud IQ account for a customer, you can create the account, and then instruct the customer to log in to their new ExtremeCloud IQ instance and proceed through the licensing prompts.

When you enter your credentials, ExtremeCloud IQ retrieves the license information from your Extreme Portal account and applies it to your ExtremeCloud IQ account.

If you are already an ExtremeCloud IQ administrator, do the following to apply new licenses:

  1. Log in to ExtremeCloud IQ, and then navigate to Global Settings > License Management.
  2. On the License Information page, select Link My Extreme Portal Account, at which time ExtremeCloud IQ redirects you to your Extreme Portal account.
